2013-12-30: New features in your HarmonySite website

  • Fully Integrated Email System:  Email addresses can now be fully managed from within your HarmonySite
  • New theme, called "BHA"
  • The "Member List" page how has new tabs:  Photos, CSV, and Bulk Update
  • New administration page showing the how much of your disk space allowance you've used up
  • If you exceed 70% of either your disk space allowance, a warning message is shown to all Webmasters
  • It's now possible to add Google Analytics to your website
  • It is now possible to upload a "favicon" to your website
  • Bulk-entering attendance for an event has been fixed and now works again

2013-08-05: New features for your HarmonySite website

  • Positions now have an "access level" required to view the position
  • Links on the "Links" page can now have a logo.
  • When multiple events occur on the same day, you can now control the order in which they appear
  • Each song can now have an MP3 file uploaded for the "Soloist" learning track
  • Each song can now track the date that singers are required to be "Off Book", via a new field.
  • The Birthday calendar now also shows members' anniversaries
  • Your Twitter feed can now be shown in the site's Sidebar
  • Items on the "Bulletin Board" page can now be "grouped"
  • US groups now have all their dates presented in US date format (Month/Day/Year)
  • Events with a Google map now have a link underneath the map to open that map on the Google maps website
  • New system for tracking which pages your members (and visitors) are visiting

2013-06-28: New features for your HarmonySite website

  • It's now possible to create repeating events in the event calendar
  • Can now show your group's YouTube channel link in your footer
  • ALL links in the "Members" menu are now listed on the Members page, in a bulleted list under the icons
  • All "posts" now have a "Status" field, with the options of "current" or "archived"
  • When members add suggestions to the Suggestion Box, it's now possible for them to add an attachment.
  • In the "Polls" box on the Members page, there's now a new "Add new poll" button
  • If a member is on any Committees/Teams, the details of these now appears on that's member's profile page
  • The Assessments page has been simplified
  • New Assessment options: Pass, Fail or n/a.
  • There are now two separate Assessment Reports:  one for Singing and one for Presentation/Choreography

2012-10-08: Announcing a major upgrade to the Virtual Creations singing-group website package

  • Before this date, HarmonySite didn't actually exist as a product.  We simply had several groups that we had built separate websites for.  We combined the features of all these sites into one "product", rewrote whole sub-systems, and created a new, modern theme ("NextElement").  The whole system was packaged up and announced to the world (it was not yet given the name "HarmonySite").
